This course is the successor of the “Introduction to Hydrologic Methods and Modeling with WMS” course offered as part of the H&H Professional Development Series. This course is designed as a hands-on, application-oriented training course for making hydrologic estimates using various techniques in the Watershed Modeling System (WMS). The demonstrations and workshops use a site assessment procedure to develop the hydrologic model for Pennsylvania watersheds with common PennDOT issues. This course emphasizes the use of the HEC-1 and NFF (USGS WRIR 00-4189) models in WMS and addresses more complicated hydrologic modeling issues related to watershed subdividing, routing, and storage.
