We are proud to announce that five of our engineers – Ryan Burrows, Brian Garman, Robert Guyer, James Nguyen, and Benjamin Stodart – are now licensed Pennsylvania Professional Engineers.
Ryan Burrows, MEng, PE – Ryan Burrows received his Master of Engineering degree in Environmental Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University in 2009. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Millersville University in 2006. Ryan started with NTM in September 2012 after working at PennDOT’s Bureau of Maintenance and Operations and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He is a Certified PennDOT Instructor and specializes in stormwater management and aquatic ecology at NTM.
Brian Garman, Jr., PE – Brian Garman, Jr. is a civil highway engineer who began working at NTM in July of 2014, after working at URS Corporation for five years. Brian has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, which he earned in 2009. His engineering areas of expertise include highway, erosion and sediment control, and drainage design, along with traffic control and signing/pavement marking. Brian’s background features PennDOT projects across Pennsylvania.
Robert Guyer, MS, PE, CBI – Bob joined NTM in June of 2010 and received his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University in December of 2010. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering also from Penn State, earned in 2008. Bob is a Certified Bridge Inspector. Since joining NTM, he has provided structural design and NBIS inspection services along with load rating analyses for PennDOT bridge improvement projects.
James Nguyen, PE – Jim started at NTM in February of 2014 after working at Pennoni Associates and Fralinger Engineering. Jim has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, which he earned in 2004. His engineering background includes stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, river and waterway hydrology and hydraulics, dam breach analysis and emergency action plan development, and site design. Jim also has experience with municipal ordinance compliance and inspecting civil works projects and field topographic survey activities.
Benjamin Stodart, MEng, PE – Ben began working at NTM in June of 2011, after receiving his Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, which he received from Bucknell University in 2010. Ben specializes in hydrologic and hydraulic design and waterway permitting for bridge and culvert replacement projects. His professional career features PennDOT and Philadelphia Water Department projects and also includes performing GIS mapping, watershed modeling, and data collection.
