Lehigh University received notice from the City of Bethlehem that they would be required to pay a stormwater utility fee based on the amount of impervious area that they owned. NTM was hired by Lehigh University to develop a digital coverage of existing land cover for the purposes of determining impervious area owned by the University. Building off of the University’s 2012 GIS layer, existing buildings, new construction, parcel and campus data, etc., through digitization over aerials and CAD drawing conversion, these additional layers were added and overlaid to be able to determine impervious area by campus and tax parcel. NTM worked closely with the University, as they requested that they perform some of the tasks.
