NTM recently wrapped up our Third Annual Wellness Challenge. This year’s challenge, held virtually, encouraged employees to work as a team to incorporate healthy eating, exercise, and mindfulness. With a hybrid office atmosphere still in place, employees posted photos, recipes, and encouragement to a dedicated Microsoft Teams channel. Over the course of six weeks, employees incorporated weekly themes into their activities. Themes included a water theme, increasing steps, grabbing a buddy, and mindfulness. Points were given for each day of exercise and healthy eating and posting at least one image a week to the Teams channel. Bonus walking and biking challenges were added for additional competition. Weekly and overall prizes were awarded at the end of the six weeks.
86% of employees participated in the competition. In the end, NTM employees logged an impressive total of 1,592 walking/running miles and 1,629 biking miles.
