NTM partnered with the Collaboratory for Strategic Partnerships and Applied Research at Messiah College by making a donation towards their Panama Bridge Project. The Collaboratory is an organization of students, educators, and professionals affiliated with Messiah College. It enables participants to apply their academic knowledge and live out their Christian faith through inventive, hands-on problem solving. The purpose of the Project is to provide cutoff communities with access to essential life-sustaining resources. The Bridge Project began in 2013 by Russell Woleslagle, who saw a need for a pedestrian bridge in the town of Arraijian. The first bridge was a 40’ timber truss bridge. The team recently completed their second bridge, a 220’ cable suspended bridge, for an isolated community in Panama. A third bridge is planned for the upcoming year.
