The PennDOT H&H and Permitting Procedures course focuses on the requirements and design procedures for hydrology, hydraulics, and permitting related to PennDOT bridge and culvert projects. This course will be extremely valuable to PennDOT Project Managers and H&H staff, as well as consulting engineers who are project managers or designers on H&H-related transportation projects. The course provides an introduction to the recently republished Design Manual 2, Chapter 10 and identifies the significant revisions that will affect the design, permitting, and scoping of projects involving waterway structures. The course will step through the development of an H&H Report including the selection of the hydrologic and hydraulic methods, FEMA considerations, permitting requirements, and scour concerns.
