NTM is proud to announce that Rachel Tereska, MS, PE, Principal, has been named to the 2016 Central Penn Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 List. Rachel received the award at the reception held at the Hilton Harrisburg on November 21, 2016. The Forty Under 40 program celebrates the region’s most accomplished young business leaders who are committed to business growth, professional excellence and community service.
Rachel is a principal and the Secretary of the Board of Directors of Newell, Tereska & MacKay Engineering, Inc. (NTM), a women-owned business enterprise (WBE) that specializes in water resources, structural, and transportation engineering, and technical course development and instruction. Rachel offers over 15 years of civil engineering experience and specializes in hydrology and hydraulics (H&H). Her background includes performing H&H studies, developing and presenting engineering technical training courses, developing policies and manuals, and waterway permitting.
Rachel earned her BS in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering in 2000 and MS in Civil Engineering in 2001 from The Pennsylvania State University. She currently maintains Professional Engineering licenses in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Since cofounding NTM in December 2006, the firm has grown to 44 professionals and is well-known statewide for its quality engineering services. Rachel’s water resources engineering expertise has helped NTM with its financial growth through acquiring project work and she has been vital to the firm’s reputation as the “go-to” water resources firm on Pennsylvania transportation projects.
