The SR 0308 Section 255 West Sunbury Bridge project over Muddy Creek in Clay Township, Butler County, involves replacing an existing structurally deficient single-span bridge with a precast concrete box culvert. NTM, as prime consultant, is performing the structural design, roadway design, H&H analyses, erosion and sedimentation control design, and permitting for the replacement structure. A precast box culvert will be constructed using a traffic detour in order to accelerate the schedule and to provide cost. Additionally, NTM proposed 1:1 rock slope benching and soldier pile wings to avoid/minimize the impact to a gas line.
