NTM Principal Rachel Tereska, MS, PE conducted a program for a local Girl Scout Troop in Hershey called “Discover Your Inner Engineer” on Saturday, April 27 at St. Joan of Arc in Hershey, PA. The event was open to all Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scout members.
The event covered how engineering is part of your everyday life through interactive projects using wind and designing shapes. The girls harnessed the wind by refining the design of a pinwheel, and chose the strongest shape to design a bridge that carried matchbox cars. They also learned about what engineers do and how to Discover Your Inner Business Owner, too.
