NTM provided structural services for the DRPA. Under an open-end contract, NTM performed bridge construction inspection services on the DRPA’s Walt Whitman and Ben Franklin Bridges as part of retrofit and structural hardening projects (July-September 2009). NTM also assisted with gusset plate ratings on the Walt Whitman Bridge in October 2010 and analyzed 56 gusset plates.
Through a separate DRPA inspection contract with another prime, NTM provided load rating services on the approaches to the Commodore Barry Bridge and the SR 130 Bridge, which carry U.S. 322 between southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. NTM completed a total of 13 bridge ratings in 2010.
In 2012, NTM assisted in the biennial inspection of the Betsy Ross Bridge, a continuous truss bridge spanning the Delaware River from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Pennsauken, New Jersey. NTM was responsible for inspecting the approach overpass structures and toll facilities.
In 2014, NTM assisted in the biennial inspection of the Ben Franklin Bridge, a suspension bridge spanning the Delaware River from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Camden, New Jersey. NTM was responsible for inspecting the Philadelphia girder approach spans, steel pier bents, elevated sidewalk, pedestrian underpasses, and toll facilities.
